Pascack Hills 3 Raritan 2 (8 innings) – Group 2 State Championship

Chris Lum was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded in the top of the eighth inning to give Pascack Hills an 18th straight win and a Group 2 state title.  The Cowboys scored a pair of runs in the top of the second on RBI doubles from Lum and Marc Hernandez to take a 2-0 lead.  Raritan rallied for two runs on a bases-loaded walk and a wild pitch.  Zack Johnston pitched five shutout innings after the second to put Raritan in a position to shock NJ’s #1 ranked team, but Jack Brodsky matched goose eggs with four shutout innings in relief.  Raritan got a single and a walk with two outs in the bottom of the 8th, but a pop out to 3rd ended the game and gave Pascack Hills its 30th win of the season.  Watch the highlights of a tremendous game in Hamilton Township:
