Shabazz 51 Thrive Charter 48 | Boys | Group 1 State Championship
Elijah Colon had 22 points including a key three-pointer in the late stages to give the Bulldogs their first state championship in 16 years. Anthony Blackmon added 16 for Shabazz, who finished the year with a 29-1 record. Tyler Hammond led Thrive Charter (22-6) with 13 points.

Ocean City 55 Colonia 46 | Boys | Group 3 State Championship
Yet another long state title drought has come to a close. Ocean City boys basketball defeated Colonia 55-46 in Sunday’s Group 3 final to take home their first state crown since 1964! The game was a neck-and-neck affair in the first half with the Raiders leading 28-27 off of Luke Tjourmakaris’ 10-point second quarter.
The Patriots then took a 39-38 lead into the fourth and the game was tied at 46 with 4:00 remaining. Then, the Raiders went on a 9-0 run to end the game and secure the title.
Ocean City junior forward Josh Lenko led their scoring with 24 points, followed by Tjourmakaris with 15. Jayce Rodriguez was Colonia’s leading scorer with 22.

Arts 57 New Providence 45 | Girls | Group 1 State Championship
Arts defeated New Providence 57-45 on Sunday in the Group 1 state final at Jersey Mike’s Arena to capture the first state championship in program history. The Jaguars shook off an early 7-0 deficit and answered with a 12-0 run in the opening quarter before taking a 25-22 lead into halftime. Arts then created separation in the third quarter with a 6-0 spurt and a buzzer-beating three from Nilah Rivera to carry a 41-33 advantage into the fourth. The Jaguars sealed the victory late behind sophomore Harmoni Burgess, who scored 11 points in the fourth quarter as Arts closed out a historic season. Rivera led the way with 19 points, five rebounds, four assists, and six steals while Burgess finished with 16 points and six rebounds. NicoleRai Bogan added nine points off the bench and Morgan Hair knocked down two three-pointers. Arts forced 20 New Providence turnovers and recorded 14 steals in the championship win. Annie Conover led New Providence with 25 points and 11 rebounds while Haley Kessler chipped in with 10 points.

Moorestown 50 Old Tappan 37 | Girls | Group 3 State Championship
The Moorestown girls basketball team had to delay their senior trip by two days, but for good reason. The Quakers marched up to Rutgers to claim the programs first state title. Fairleigh Dickinson commit Analyse Intenzo ended her phenomenal career with a 24 point, 11 rebound double-double. Moorestown (23-9) wins Group 3 over Old Tappan (23-7) in head coach Jeb Howley’s first season at the helm. The Quakers get to bring some gold to Disney World!
