Mansquan 48 Sparta 44 | Girls

Manasquan (6-1) defeated fellow Top 20 opponent Sparta (2-2) 48-44. The fourth ranked Warriors were locked into a neck and neck battle from start to finish as they held onto a 38-37 lead entering the fourth quarter. Despite 20 point and 11 rebounds from Divsion I recruit Brynn McCurry, Manasquan was able to hold off No. 11 Sparta thanks to a key rebound from Georgia Heine on a missed free throw to eventually push the deficit to four points in the final minute of regulation. Heine finished with eight points while Brooke Hollawell had 12. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights: 


St. Rose 39 Chatham 36 | Girls

St. Rose (4-0) remains undefeated following a miraculous 17 point comeback to take down Chatham (3-2) 39-36. Trailing 24-12 at halftime, the Purple Roses held the Cougars to just four points in the final quarter. Rosie Scognamiglio led all scorers with 19 points. JSZ’s Darron Wallace has the highlights:
