We close out our Week 2 coverage in style with a few of the state’s most notable games on Saturday. Stay tuned as our coverage comes in throughout the day!
St. Joe’s (Mont.) 48 Cardinal Hayes (NY) 0 | Non-Conference
The Green Knights got a monstrous performance from senior captain Nate Bailey to power a lopsided out-of-state win. Bailey, a Harvard commit, contributed two receiving touchdowns, a rushing touchdown and a highlight punt return touchdown all in the first half to put the game out of reach before the break. St. Joe’s (3-0) is looking like one of the best teams in the state so far in 2025 and will play SFC United Red division rival Paramus Catholic next Friday night.

Gyan King had a 72-yard fumble return touchdown, Bryant commit Jahmir Campfield had a 32-yard pick-six for one of his two touchdowns, and Frenchmon Bethea delivered a late pick-six in the victory. Aamir Dunbar ran for 160 yards and two touchdowns to lead the offense for Cedar Creek (2-1). Marvin Burroughs threw for 282 yards and four touchdowns, three of them going to Jaylen Day for Atlantic City (2-1).
JSZ’s James Mooney has the highlights from Egg Harbor City:
Summit 35 Hillside 20 | Big Central Conference
The Hilltoppers are traditionally a run-heavy offense but they unveiled a new fold Saturday afternoon. Alex Schwark was 8-15 passing for 145 yards with three touchdowns while also picking up 148 rushing yards in the win for Summit (3-0). Matt McKeever punched in a pair of short-yardage touchdowns to round out the rushing attack. Hillside (0-2) is back in action next Saturday when they face Scotch Plains-Fanwood in a divisional matchup.
