The first weekend of the 2025 football season is in the books after a busy Saturday around New Jersey. Our team finishes off a busy three-day stretch with a few more games – stay tuned as the highlights roll in!

Shabazz 10 West Orange 7 | Super Football Conference

Basit Raimi’s first varsity game saw the native of Ghana deliver the game winning 23-yard field goal with :07 left in the fourth quarter to give Shabazz a top 20 upset to close out Week 0 in New Jersey high school football.  Shabazz scored in the first quarter to take a 7-0 lead and held it until West Orange tied the game 7-7 on a Farrad Green, Jr. 8-yard TD run with under two minutes to go.  Shabazz quarterback Karriem Coston went to the two minute offense and connected with Nosym Brown at the five yard line in a controversial call to set up the heroics by Raimi who was making his varsity American football debut.
