Seton Hall Prep 12 Glen Ridge 4 – Essex County Tournament Final

Winning the Essex County finale may be a regular occurrence for Seton Hall Prep, but that doesn’t mean a seventh-consecutive county championship isn’t any sweeter. Senior Cullen Wolff fittingly led the Pirates with seven points on five goals and two assists to help secure the win. JSZ’s Jay Cook has the highlights from North Caldwell:

Wayne Hills 6 Wayne Valley 4 – Boys – Passaic County Tournament Final

For the third straight year No. 1 seed Wayne Hills hoisted a Passaic County Tournament Title. In a rematch of last year’s game with crosstown rival Wayne Valley, the Patriots after falling behind in the first quarter were able to control the rest of the matchup due to great defense and time of possession. Patrick Orapello and Danny Baldino both finished with two goals each while sophomore goalie Dan Daly had eight saves. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights: 

Red Bank Regional 12 Holmdel 10 – Girls – Shore Conference Tournament First Round

The #5 Red Bank Regional Bucs advanced to the next round of the Shore Conference Tournament on Saturday afternoon, defeating the #12 Holmdel Hornets 12-10. Meghan Murray scored the team-high and game-high of five goals for the Bucs. Madeline Kelly scored the second highest for the Bucs with three goals. Holmdel’s West Chester commit, Erin Mendini, tied with the game-high of five goals. The Bucs will face #4 Trinity Hall on Tuesday for the SCT Quarterfinals.
