Rancocas Valley 3 Eastern 2 | Joe Hartmann Diamond Classic 2nd Round
Logan Shumard turned in an outstanding performance on the mound as the Red Devils avenged a loss to the Vikings to reach the Diamond Classic quarterfinals. Shumard went the distance while allowing two runs and racking up seven strikeouts in the victory. Jaylen Alvarez made a big impact with a triple and an inside-the-park home run for ninth-seeded Rancocas Valley (12-4). Anthony Cataldo drove in a run in the loss for eighth-seeded Eastern (16-3). The Red Devils advance to face top-seeded Gloucester Catholic next week.

Washington Twp. 7 Egg Harbor Twp. 6 | Joe Hartmann Diamond Classic 2nd Round
The 30th-seeded Minutemen pulled off another upset to advance to the Diamond Classic quarterfinals. Hayden Sowers went 2-4 with a double and two RBIs in the victory for Washington Township (10-8). Luke McKenty added an RBI single in the win. Jackson Conroy with 2-3 with two RBIs for the 14th-seeded Eagles (12-6) in the loss. The Minutemen advance to face Delsea in the Diamond Classic quarterfinals next week.

Red Bank Catholic 7 Ranney 1 | Monmouth County Tournament Quarterfinal
Declan Leary threw a complete game allowing just a solo home run in the fourth inning and RBC’s five run second inning was all the Caseys needed to knock off the defending champions. Luke Lonczak had a two-run single to highlight the second inning outburst and Sean Griggs recorded his 100th career hit on a double in the fourth inning and later scored. RBC will face Middletown North in the MCT semifinal scheduled for Tuesday.

Pompton Lakes 5 Passaic 1 | Passaic County Tournament Quarterfinal
The Cardinals are quietly playing some of the most consistent baseball in North Jersey right now. Third-seeded Pompton Lakes (15-2) just won it’s 11th-straight game, this time coming in the quarterfinal round of the Passaic County Tournament. Vinnie Stigliano threw five innings and allowed just one run with great defense behind him. Stigliano and Justin Bolt also tallied RBI singles to power the offense. Sixth-seeded Passaic (12-4) got their lone run via a Marcus Quezada single in the fourth inning. Pompton Lakes advances to face the winner of Wayne Valley vs. Wayne Hills in the semifinal round, slated for next weekend.
