Delbarton 1 Roxbury 0 | Morris County Tournament Final

Delbarton’s Eric Schroeder threw a 1-hitter striking out 14 to outduel Roxbury’s Jack Findlay and give the Green Wave a second straight Morris County championship. The Green Wave used an error to manufacture the only run of the game on an RBI groundout by Griffin Mills. Findlay gave up just two hits and one walk while striking out 10. Schroeder walked five and gave up a lone single. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the breakdown of a fantastic game at Montville High School:

Hunterdon Central 2 Pope John 1 | H/W/S Tournament Final

Kyle McCoy has been unbeatable when he’s stepped onto the mound for Hunterdon Central this season. The junior left-hander tossed a 91-pitch complete game with eight strikeouts to lead his Red Devils to a gritty H/W/S tournament final victory over Pope John. Hunterdon Central plated a pair of runs off of bases loaded walks in the fifth inning and never looked back.

JSZ’s Jay Cook has the highlights from Stanhope:

St. Joe-Montvale 6 Bergen Catholic 0 | Bergen County Tournament Semifinal

Sean Hard pitched a complete game 2-hitter walking just one batter and striking out 11 to lead the Green Knights (22-2) to the Bergen County Tournament title game against Don Bosco Prep. The Green Knights had a three-run second inning highlighted by a 2-run single by Ellis Garcia and added single runs in the 3rd, 4th and 6th innings. Albert Serrano was 2-3 with an RBI to get his batting average up to .492. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights and post-game reaction from the Wood-Ridge Athletic Complex:

Don Bosco 11 Pascack Valley 4 | Bergen County Tournament Semifinal

(1) Don Bosco (20-4) defeated (4) Pascack Valley (19-5) 11-4 to advance to the Bergen County Tournament Championship. The Ironmen trailing 1-0 through the first three innings had a most unusual day on the diamond, starting with University of Virginia commit Kevin Jaxel being relieved of pitching duties in the first inning due to an apparent illness. Clayton Poliey would take over and went three innings, allowed no hits or earned runs and collected five strike outs. Pascack Valley walking three batters with the bases loaded allowed Bosco to take a 4-1 lead in the fourth inning. Allen Hernandez and Charlie Granatell each had two RBI’s while Kevin Murray finished with three. The Ironmen will take on (2) St. Joseph (Montvale) (22-2) in the Final on 5/31.
