It’s county championship season in New Jersey’s lacrosse world – we’ve got highlights from a pair of title games Saturday!

Westfield 6 Summit 5 | Union County Tournament Final

The Blue Devils (12-4)  wiped out a 3-1 halftime deficit with a four goal third quarter and made a key defensive stop late to end the six year reign of Summit as Union County champions.  Defenseman Ben Seward had two goals for the Blue Devils with his second goal giving Westfield a 4-3 lead.  Billy Gerne closed out the third to put the Blue Devils up 5-3.  Colin Coyle’s goal in the fourth extended the lead to three and Jack Clark made a key turnover in the final two minutes to help preserve the win.  Summit (11-3) was led by Will Iacovelli who had a pair of goals.
