Four state-ranked teams from boys and girls lax highlight our Saturday coverage.  Check out Delbarton and Summit boys and Pingry getting a 7th straight win at Rumson-Fair Haven!


Delbarton 5 Summit 4 | Boys

No. 1 Delbarton (7-2) remains undefeated against New Jersey opponents this season as they escaped with a close 5-4 victory over No. 7 Summit (4-2). The Green Wave went ahead 2-0 in the first quarter on goals from Lafayette commit Nick Faccone and Quinnipiac commit T.J. Coffey, they remained at the lead heading into halftime. After opening the second half with two more goals, Summit would strike back with three scores to trail 4-3 early in the fourth quarter. Both teams would each add another goal, but Summit was unable to force overtime. Nick Faccone finished with two goals.

Pingry 11 Rumson-Fair Haven 9 | Girls

Bella Goodwin had a five-point game with a hat trick and two assists to lead Big Blue to a 7th straight win in 2023.  Pingry raced out to an 8-2 lead before RFH battled back throughout the rest of the game.  The Bulldogs Jackie Braceland had three goals and four assists while Rachel James had a four-goal game in a losing effort.  Pingry got a three-goal game from Goodwin and Becca Kirschner with Sydney Puntus and McKenna Dwyer each having two-goal games.
