Nineteenth-ranked Seton Hall Prep tangles with fifth-ranked Chaminade (NY), while St. Augustine collides with thirteenth-ranked Episcopal Academy (PA). Plus, we bring you a top-flight matchup from Rutgers University as Chatham squares off with Rumson-Fair Haven. Check back as the highlights roll in throughout the night!


Chaminade (NY) 7 Seton Hall Prep 6 | Boys

No. 5 Chaminade (N.Y.) lacrosse defeated No. 19 Seton Hall Prep 7-6 on Saturday in a battle of national powers that more than lived up to the hype!

The Pirates started out the game hot, leading 4-1 midway through the second quarter. The Flyers then surged back and cut it to a 5-4 game at the halftime break. Chaminade then scored three unanswered in the third quarter to take a 7-5 lead into the fourth. The Pirates then scored with 6:30 remaining to cut the lead to one, but they could not get past Flyers goalie Kieran Walsh who saved a Bryce Pfeffer shot at the buzzer to seal the win.

John Balsamo led the Flyers with two goals on the afternoon.

Episcopal Academy (PA) 8 St. Augustine 5 | Boys

The Hermits had USA’s thirteenth-ranked team on the ropes with a 5-1 lead at halftime, but the Churchmen flipped the script with seven unanswered goals to take home the victory. Reid Dennis had the go-ahead goal and finished with a hat trick, while Rutgers commit Keegan Nash had two goals in the victory. Air Force commit Ryan Diamond went for a hat trick and Penn State commit Ryan Wodazak scored twice in the loss for St. Augustine (1-1).

Chatham 19 Rumson-Fair Haven 8 | Boys

Chatham exploded for nine unanswered goals in the third quarter to break open a tight game and defeat Rumson-Fair Haven 19-8 at Rutgers. RFH held a 4-3 lead in the second quarter and trailed just 6-5 at halftime before the Cougars took over after the break. Michigan commit Shep Boyd powered the offense with four goals, while Notre Dame commit Nicholas Lagunowich finished with three. Rutgers commit Lochlan Mahoney added two goals as part of the third-quarter surge for Chatham (2-0).
