Roselle Catholic 73 Plainfield 69 | Boys

The Lions avenged a previous 16-point loss to the Cardinals by snapping their electric 16-game win streak. Trevon Lewis led the way with a game-high 21 points and had six assists, six blocks and five rebounds to complete a massive day for Roselle Catholic (15-4). Jalen Grant and Tyrease Hunter each had 15 point outings in the win. NaJai Hines produced another eye-popping double-double for Plainfield (18-2), going for 13 points and 25 rebounds in the loss. Hines was held scoreless in the first half.

Hudson Catholic 57 Rumson-Fair Haven 49 | Boys

Keith McKnight had 25 points and Omari Moore scored 10 of his 16 in the fourth quarter to give the Hawks a road win in the Shore Conference.  Hudson Catholic (13-4) broke open a 29-22 halftime lead with a 13-0 run to go up 19 before RFH battled back.  The Bulldogs got within four in the fourth quarter but Moore put the game away at the free throw line.  Luke Cruz had 16 to lead RFH (14-4) who made 11 three pointers with Hudson Catholic not making a shot from beyond the arc.

St. John Vianney 58 Middle Twp. 27 | Girls | War vs. The Shore XI

The fifth-ranked Lady Lancers showed plenty of depth and balance in a dominant performance against one of the Cape-Atlantic League’s top squads. Taylor Sofilkanich scored eight of her game-high 15 points in the third quarter as SJV used a 21-1 run to blow things open. Madison Kocis added 11 points in the win for St. John Vianney (17-4). Isabelle Toland had seven points in the loss for Middle Township (15-4).
