Newark East Side 57 Olympus Prep 44 | Boys Hoops

Newark East Side showcased their ability to be explosive on offense and stingy on defense with a commanding 57-44 win over South Jersey postgrad academy Olympus Prep. Rutgers Prep 52 Patrick School 47 | Girls Hoops

Olivia Mullins’ 17-point game was the driving force in Rutgers Prep’s early afternoon win against Patrick School at the Hearts 2 Hands Invitational at Gill St. Bernards. Rutgers Prep staved off a couple offensive surges by the Celtics to secure the win. JSZ’s Jay Cook has the highlights:

Franklin 65 Gloucester Catholic 54 | Girls Hoops

Diamond Miller, the University of Maryland commit, posted 26 points for the Franklin Warriors on Saturday afternoon against the Gloucester Catholic Rams. The Rams were a good competitor for the Warriors, with Azana Baines, who is committed to Duke. However, Miller was not the only player who walked off the court with an impressive number of points. Junior Keona Schenck was only five points behind Miller with 21. The No. 3 Warriors are off to a great start for the season, improving their overall record to 4-0.
