Now that the 2025-26 season is underway, our team sets up shop all day at the New Jersey Basketball Coaches Association’s Tip-Off Classic! A number of Top-2o ranked teams took the floor, and we’ve got highlights coming from four games at Montgomery High School. Stay tuned throughout the day as all the action rolls in!


Ramapo 58 Hudson Catholic 57

The Raiders went down to the wire with the Hawks to score a top-ten win to open the season. Finn Marrah’s steal and score late in the fourth helped seal the deal as the junior went for a team-high 18 points in the victory. Michael Moody was on fire all day long, as he hit six three-pointers to also finish with a team-high 18 points for Ramapo (1-0). Elijah Williams poured in a game-high 19 points to lead four Hawks in double-figures in the loss for Hudson Catholic (1-1).

Plainfield 73 St. Joe’s Mont. 45

The reigning Group 4 state champions began their new season with an impressive performance. Led by star junior Micah Gordon, Plainfield (1-0) rolled through the second half to pick up the win. Gordon led all players with a game-best 26 points while Rashawn Williams tacked on 15 more. St. Joe’s (0-1) got a team-high 12 points from freshman Nick Tait in the loss.

Linden 70 Rutgers Prep 61

Linden (2–0) picked up an early-season ranked win with a strong second half at the NJBCA Tip-Off Classic. The Tigers erased a six-point deficit late in the third quarter and used a dominant fourth to close out Rutgers Prep (0–1). Jekhi Burnam led all scorers with 23 points, while Asante Jones added 18 and Jayden Holman chipped in 14. Rutgers Prep was paced by sophomore William Brunson, who finished with 19 points in the loss.

St. Peter’s Prep 62 Colonia 35

Richie Rosa reached a remarkable milestone in St. Peter’s Prep’s (1-0) opening-night win. In the second quarter, the electric Rider commit scored his 1,000th career point. Rosa went on to finish with a game-high 24 points and helped the Marauders outscore Colonia (0-1) 33-10 in a dominant second half.
