Paulsboro 22 Salem 13 | WJFL Pod “D” Final

The Red Raiders staked their claim as the top small school in South Jersey, as they beat the Rams on the road to complete an undefeated season. Bhayshul Tuten scored all three touchdowns for Paulsboro to cap off a monster senior year. Jahki Coates threw a touchdown pass to Bobby Arnold, while Lee Coleman rushed for a TD for Salem in the loss.

St. Joseph (Mont.) 36 Cherokee 35

The Green Knights made the long trip down to Marlton and came away with a thrilling victory over the Chiefs. St. Joe’s blew an early 20-point lead and saw the Cherokee briefly take the lead in the fourth quarter before retaking the lead for good. Audric Estime ran wild all afternoon, rushing for 296 yards and four touchdowns. Billy Osborn led a valiant effort by the Chiefs, throwing for four touchdowns in the loss.

Watchung Hills 35 Wayne Hills 14

On just two days notice the Warriors accepted new opponent, Wayne Hills. Despite having minimal preparation time, Cornell commit Chad Martini was able to easily pick apart the Patriot defense. Martini threw for 3 touchdowns in the win which sealed a winning season for the Warriors for the first time since 2012.
