We close out Week 7 of the high school football season with three great matchups from the Saturday slate. Bergen Catholic collides with Delbarton in Super Football Conference action, St. Augustine looks for revenge in a WJFL matchup with Rancocas Valley, and Hopewell Valley tries to clinch a second-straight division crown against Steinert. Check back as the highlights are posted throughout the evening!

Bergen Catholic 42 Delbarton 7 | Super Football Conference

The Crusaders used a blend of explosive offense and punishing defense to pick up their second-straight win in as many weeks. Ohio State commit Jordan Thomas was recognized as a 2026 Navy All-American pregame and then proceeded to snare two interceptions while anchoring the Bergen Catholic (6-1) defense. Sophomore QB Trey Tagliaferri ripped off a career-high 332 yards and four TD passes in an impressive showing. Delbarton (3-4) got their lone score from an impressive 80-yard touchdown via Matt Tafuri in the first quarter.

The Bulldogs marched into Spartan territory on Saturday afternoon and clinched back-to-back Capitol Division titles. The ground game led the way for Hopewell Valley, as Ethan Valenza rushed for 191 yards and a touchdown, while Lucas Hemmer added two scores on the ground. The highlight of the game came when Mike Whitlock soared over a defender for a 39-yard touchdown reception—one of just two pass attempts by the Bulldogs in the second half. With the win over Steinert (5-2), Hopewell Valley (6-2) secured the division championship in convincing fashion.
