St. Benedict’s Prep vs. St. Rose 2 OT| Boys | Hoop Group Boardwalk Showcase

St. Rose improved to 9-1 following a 52-48 double overtime win against St. Benedict’s (4-4). A back and forth battle from the opening tip would see St. Rose emerge with a 23-22 lead at halftime behind another dominant performance from Villanova commit Matt Hodge. Hodge scoring 27 points, including being 10/10 from the free throw line was key in the Purple Roses prevailing with a victory against a promising young St. Benedict’s squad. Four star recruit Chidi Nwigwe ended his afternoon with 13 points while David Johnson led the Gray Bee’s with 16 points.
