Temperatures were dipping outside, but the action continues to heat up inside gymnasiums all over the Garden State. We’ve got all the highlights posted from a busy Saturday including a special finale to the Dan Finn Classic in Jersey City.


Hudson Catholic 45 Linden 43 | Dan Finn Classic

The Hawks rallied from a 17-point third-quarter deficit on an inspiring night in Jersey City. Linden took a 30-15 halftime lead. Before the start of the second half, the Dan Finn Classic recognized Antonio Sellers, a Hudson Catholic sophomore who is battling a malignant brain tumor. Sellers’ mother, Felicia, thanked the showcase for funding a ramp for their home and delivered an inspiring message to both teams. The Hawks were a completely different team in the second half putting together a 17-0 run to draw even. Phil Brown, Jr. had a steal and dunk in the final minute to give the Hawks an amazing comeback win. Watch the highlights and a powerful halftime ceremony and post-game award ceremony:

Wildwood Catholic 63 Marist 39 | Dan Finn Classic

Temple commit Jahlil White had 21 points and 10 rebounds to lead a dominating performance for the Crusaders in Jersey City. Martin Anguelov was the hot hand in the first half scoring 16 points all in the first two quarters and Jacob Hopping added 15 to get Wildwood Catholic to 11-2. Manasquan 59 St. Peter’s Prep 38 | Dan Finn Classic

Manasquan improved to (13-1) with a 59-38 victory over St. Peter’s Prep (10-2) at the 16th Annual Dan Finn Classic in Jersey City. The Warriors were able to shut down Prep in the first quarter, going ahead 11-3. Mark Armstrong would answer for the Marauders in the second quarter with 10 points, cutting the lead to four at halftime. In the second half, Casey Mulligan would take over to push the deficit to as many as 20. Mulligan won MVP honors finishing with 18 points. Tim McEneny had 19 and Mark Armstrong ended the night with 20 for St. Peter’s. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:


Rumson-Fair Haven 62 Middletown North 52

Winless Middletown North led Rumson-Fair Haven 44-41 after three full quarters but it was a different story for the Bulldogs in the fourth. RFH would take the lead after a 21-point outburst in the fourth quarter to seal the win. Hunter Reid led the Bulldogs with 19 points in the win.

Haddonfield 60 Millville 39 | Thunderbolts Classic

The Haddons made themselves right at home at the Bolts’ showcase event, and cruised to a non-league victory. Andrew Gostovich poured in a game-high 26 points in the win. Ben Cerratto chipped in with 11 points, as Haddonfield won its ninth game in a row and improved to (10-1) overall.
