St. Benedict’s Prep 2 CBA 1 – Boys
We have our first early game of the year nominee, folks. St. Benedict’s Prep, the No. 1 team in America (according to USA Today), had their hands full with a CBA squad looking to upend their 46-game unbeaten streak. The Colts took a 1-0 lead in the second half but the Gray Bees battled back to score a dramatic, emotional win.

Ocean City 7 Cedar Creek 0 – Girls
The Red Raiders pumped in six first-half goals in a dominant performance over the Pirates. Six different players scored in the first 40 minutes, as Summer Reimet, Hannah Keane, Hope Slimmer, Kelsey White, Paige Panico, and Aimee Altieri all found the back of the net. Rutgers commit Faith Slimmer had three first-half assists.

Brick Township 2 Barnegat 0 – Girls
Reese Beggs scored both goals for the Green Dragons who handed the Bengals just their second loss of the season. Beggs scored early in the contest and then added a goal on a penalty kick in the 50th minute. Brick Township improves to 8-2-1 with the win.
