The new week kicks off with a handful of soccer games around the state, headlined by the massive North Jersey showdown between rivals Ramapo and Northern Highlands. Watch all the highlights as they roll in!


Ramapo 3 Northern Highlands 2 (OT)| Girls

Bridget Cannon’s first varsity goal comes with 3:24 to go in the first overtime period giving 5th ranked Ramapo a rivalry win against #3 Northern Highlands.  The Highlanders beat the Raiders three times last year including the section final.  Following a scoreless first half, the teams traded goals four times in the second half setting up the drama of overtime.  Ramapo keeper Annie Landers made a game saving stop from point blank range just moments before Cannon’s heroics.

Red Bank Catholic 5 Donovan Catholic 1 | Girls | Shore Conference Tournament Group Stage

Paige Foye broke a 1-1 tie early in the second half to spark a four goal outburst and give the Caseys (4-1) a fourth straight win and a 1-0 mark in Group A of the Shore Conference Tournament.  Liv Racioppi tied the game 1-1 in the first half.  Foye set up Payton Cox for the first of her two straight goals in the second half and freshman Izzy Fasano closed out the scoring.  Sofia DeBonis gave the Griffins an early 1-0 lead and keeper Lauren Kurzynowski was outstanding recording over 20 saves.

Toms River East 2 Colts Neck 0 | Girls | Shore Conference Tournament Group Stage

Siena commit Grace Crowley netted her second goal of the season on a free kick in the 74th minute as the Raiders moved to 2-0 in Group B of the Shore Conference Tournament. Ciley Francis gave the Raiders the lead late in the first half with her third goal of the season. Emma Mastriano had ten saves and collected her fifth-straight clean sheet for Toms River East (5-0). Julianna Brown racked up 11 saves in net for Colts Neck (1-3).

Middletown South 0 Holmdel 0 (2OT) | Boys

The Eagles outshot the Hornets in a 100-minute affair that ended in a scoreless draw. Brian Ilewski did a great job for Holmdel (2-1-1) in the first half while Carson Perry helped Middletown South (3-1-1) stay even with a few key stops in the second half.
