Tri-Cape 14 Inter-Ac/Independents (PA) 3

Tri-Cape (players from the Tri-County Conference and the Cape-Atlantic League) scored early and often to roll into the Carpenter Cup title game. Woodstown senior Chase Swain went 4-4 with a pair of RBIs. Hammonton senior Jared Beebe went 2-3 and drove in a pair of runs. Mainland’s Mark Elliott and Williamstown’s Caden Dulin also finished with two RBIs each in the victory.

Mercer County 6 Lehigh Valley (PA) 5

Mercer County built a big lead early, but needed to hang on late to punch a ticket to the Carpenter Cup title game. Allentown senior Dan Merkel threw out the potential game-tying run at the plate in the ninth, before Hun senior Ryan DiMaggio shut the door on the Lehigh Valley on the mound. Senior Matt Bethea from Allentown hit a two-run home run for Mercer County. Steinert senior Jordan Nitti and Hamilton West senior Danilo Perdomo each knocked in a run in the win.
