Things are really starting to heat up. Archrivals Don Bosco Prep and Bergen Catholic face-off in a matchup of top-10 ranked teams in the state while Spotswood edges past Woodbridge in the GMC Tournament. We’ve got highlights from both games!

Don Bosco Prep 6 Bergen Catholic 5

Eric Becker’s incredible web gem – a magnificent game-ending double play – will be remembered for quite some time. Becker went full horizontal to complete a diving stop on a scorching hit up the middle, generating a 6-4-3 double play which secured a win for the Ironmen. Becker went 3-4 with three runs scored on offense, while Andy Granatell clobbered a go-ahead three-run home run in the fifth inning for Don Bosco (15-3) in the win. Bergen Catholic (14-4) scored four of their runs on sacrifice flies in the loss. These teams will meet again Thursday in the second of a two-game series.
