New Providence 16 Johnson 4 | Union County Tournament Quarterfinal | Boys

The fourth-seeded Pioneers plowed through a fellow NJILL-Bianchi division foe to earn a spot in the UCT semifinals for the second year in a row. Jack Fitzgerald, Michel Henry and AJ Whitehead each contributed first-half hat tricks as New Providence (8-3) carried an 11-0 lead into the halftime break. New Providence now turns its focus to the semifinals Thursday where they’ll face top-seeded Summit. Fifth-seeded Johnson (6-7) has to wait a week until its next game, a road tilt against Dayton.

St. Joseph-Metuchen 11 Manalapan 3 | Boys

Nick Hengerer had two goals and two assists and goalie Nick Zaneto had 14 saves to lead the Falcons (12-3) to their fifth straight win.  Eight different St. Joe’s players scored with Zach MacDougall and Hunter Perdue each scoring a pair of goals in the win.

Kingsway 9 Ocean City 3 | Boys

The fifteenth-ranked Dragons surged in the second quarter to create a cushion, then locked things down the rest of the way to stay perfect on the season. Ursinus commit Keegan Borkowski finished with two goals and two assists in the victory. Mason Bryan and Owen Dougherty added a pair of goals for Kingsway (12-0). Luke Kazmarck, Nolan O’Kane, and Jack Scherbin scored in the loss for Ocean City (5-8).
