A.L. Johnson 11 Union Catholic 0 | Union County Tournament Final

Johnson captured its first Union County Tournament championship since 1980 with an 11-0 win over Union Catholic in Monday’s final at Kean University. Vincent Cilento tossed a five-inning no-hitter for the Crusaders, striking out two and walking two while shutting down a UC lineup he had already beaten earlier this season. Justin Zdeb powered the offense with a 4-for-4 day and four RBI, including a bases-clearing double in the fifth inning. Johnson finishes off a statement county tournament run with wins over Cranford, Gov. Livingston, and Union Catholic to bring the crown back to Clark for the first time in 46 years.
