The 2021 season continues to heat up with action from two games in boys and girls lacrosse. Check back throughout the night to catch all of the highlights!


Rumson-Fair Haven 11 St. Augustine 7 (Boys)

There may not be a team that is hotter to start the season than the Bulldogs after picking up a huge road win against the Hermits. Cole Cashion was money for RFH (4-0), scoring four goals to lead the way for the ‘Dawgs. Patrick Jamin and Dan Garvey both registered three-point performances and linked up for a goal to give the Bulldogs a three-goal advantage late in the third. Gennaro Petrongolo scored three goals for St. Augustine (2-1) in the loss.

Holmdel 16 St. John Vianney 11 (Girls)

Jules Brown scored six goals to lead the Hornets to a big win against their crosstown rival. Both sides were able to capture momentum at various points during the game before the Hornets were able to pull away late for a 16-11 victory. 
The Hornets jumped out to a 8-2 lead in the first half before the Lancers scored the next seven goals. Harvard-bound senior Alexis Lauricella, who entered the matchup having scored 50 goals in her first four games for SJV, netted seven more on the afternoon, while future Rutgers Scarlet Knight Tori Shenk gave Vianney their first lead, going ahead 9-8 early in the second half.
Holmdel regained control in the final 11 minutes of the second half, scoring seven of the final eight goals of the match to earn an important win early in the campaign.  JSZ’s Greg Brzozowski has the highlights of the Shore Conference battle:
