We’ve got a pair of games to start the week on the diamond. RBC and Ranney wrap up their two game set in a game featuring two of the top three teams in the Shore Conference plus we’ve got highlights from Rutgers as CBA takes on Hun!
Red Bank Catholic 18 Ranney 3 (5 innings)
Jake Frankel had four hits and five RBi’s highlighted by a pair of two-run homers and Aiden Funk had a grand slam as part of a seven run third inning to give the Caseys (5-1) an emphatic road win. Charlie Stumberger and AJ Sciametta also had homers for RBC as part of the Caseys seven run fifth inning. After a 10-0 win over Morris Catholic on Sunday, RBC piled up 28 runs in the span of 24 hours.

CBA 8 Hun 2
CBA (5-0) showed under the lights at Bainton Field why they’re one of the best HS Baseball teams in the state. A four-run fourth inning led the Colts past reigning back-to-back Prep “A” champions Hun (6-2). The pitching staff of CBA was on point in this one. Sean Loggie, Declan Doogan, and Christian Menditto combined for 7 IP, 2 R, 2 H, and 10 K’s. On offense Will Fahey went 2/2 and scored a game-high 4 runs, while the Colts as a unit stole for a season-high 9 bases.
