Seton Hall Prep 14 Millburn 2 (6 Innings)

No. 10 Seton Hall Prep baseball defeated Millburn 14-2 in six innings Monday for what was a monumental win for the Pirates program. With the victory, 40-year head coach Mike Sheppard Jr. won his 900th career game, joining Ken Frank of Toms River South as the only other coach in New Jersey high school baseball history to reach the mark.

West Virginia commit Jordan Burwell led the Pirates’ bats on the day, going 2-3 with three RBIs. Starting pitcher Angel Salcedo had a complete game outing with two earned runs and three strikeouts.

Kingsway 11 Washington Twp. 1 (6 Innings)

The Dragons used a four-run third inning and a five-run fourth to rally for a Tri-County Royal Divisional victory. Logan Taylor led the way with three RBIs, while Brayden Thorp, Kyle Shields, and AJ Ward added key run support. On the mound, Miles Pezzicola delivered another outstanding performance, allowing no earned runs and striking out six to lower his season ERA to 0.60. Kingsway (6-2) picks up its eight consecutive win against Washington Twp. (4-3).
