Delbarton 3 Don Bosco Prep 2 (OT) | Non-Public Final

Aidan Pasic scored off a Dean Zarro shot from the point 6:07 into overtime to give the Green Wave a come from behind victory to claim the school’s 15th state championship.  Don Bosco scored with 0.9 seconds left in the second period when Chris Conklin cashed in on a power play tally and took a 2-0 lead on a Jack Foye goal 4:19 into the third period.  Delbarton rallied with a Sean O’Gwen power play goal followed by Matteo Conte tying the game setting the stage for overtime.  Don Bosco goalie Alex Annunziato was outstanding in goal with 33 saves.  Delbarton finishes the year 20-1-3 winning the Gordon Conference regular season, Gordon Cup and state championship.

Bridgewater-Raritan 2 Ridgewood 0 | Public Final

For the first time ever, a hockey state championship resides in Bridgewater, New Jersey. Stanley Xenakis stepped up big time for the Panthers, scoring the lone two goals of the public state title game and taking home the Johnny and Matthew Gaudreau MVP. Justin “Mad Dog” Madison was once again phenomenal in net with a 34 save shutout, marking the sophomore’s seventh shutout of the season. Bridgewater-Raritan (23-3-1) holds Ridgewood (21-5) scoreless to bring home the programs first state title.

KJS United 5 North Hunterdon-Voorhees 1 | Public Co-Op Final

Braydon Sisco delivered a hat trick to lead KJS United to a 5-1 win over North Hunterdon-Voorhees and secure back-to-back Public Co-Op state championships at the Prudential Center. Maximo Rodriguez opened the scoring with a coast-to-coast rush 7:15 into the second period and Sisco followed just 17 seconds later with a highlight-reel move to make it 2-0. North Hunterdon-Voorhees got one back when Dylan Swon scored on a breakaway with 1:52 remaining in the second to cut the lead in half. Sisco struck again in the third period with a bar-down goal and later finished off a 3-on-2 rush to complete the hat trick and put the game out of reach. Cody Sutton added a late backhand goal to seal the victory as KJS United repeated as Public Co-Op state champions.

Immaculate Heart 2 Morristown-Beard 1 | Girls Final

For all Immaculate Heart players and fans, Monday was as cathartic as a win as can be. No. 3 Blue Eagles hockey won their first ever state title 3-1 over No. 1 Morristown-Beard in their *third* consecutive appearance at Prudential Center.

The Crimson ended the first period with a 1-0 lead off an unassisted goal from Sophia DeLaura at 11:13. The Blue Eagles then came back with two goals in the second: a goal by Julia Bussanich that went off MoBeard’s Keira Walsifer’s stick, and a power-play goal by Delaney Cozine from an impossible angle.

Cozine added her second on an empty-net in the final minute to clinch the crown for the Blue Eagles. Sophomore goalie Maddie Graves was named the Johnny & Matthew Gaudreau MVP of the Game with 31 saves.
