Ridgewood 3 Northern Highlands 1 | Public North Sectional Semifinal

Will LoSauro continues to impress across his magical freshman season and he delivered once again as the Maroons took down the reigning Public state champions. Ridgewood (17-8) got a big game from LoSauro, who accounted for a goal and an assist Monday night. His goal came inside the final 90 seconds of regulation to close out and secure the win. Maroons goalie Jack Scali made 23 saves in the win.

Ridgewood advances to face Randolph in the Public North Final on Thursday at Codey Arena.

Monroe 5 Middletown North 4 | Public South Section Final

Cameron Schwartz had a hat trick and an assist to lead the Falcons to a third straight one goal win in the state playoffs and a spot in the state semifinals.  Schwartz scored in the opening minute and later in the first period to give Monroe a 2-1 lead at the ice cut.  After Middletown North tied the game 2-2, Albert Scarmato gave the Falcons the lead followed by Schwartz’s third goal to give Monroe a 4-2 lead after two periods.  Matt DePalma scored on a backhand to make it 5-2.  The Lions (13-11) scored two goals to close within one but fell short in their comeback attempt.  Monroe (15-6-1) will face second seed Westfield in the Public South final.
