West Morris 67 Colonia 61 OT | Boys

West Morris (12-1) defeated Colonia (9-4) 67-61 in a comeback overtime victory. The Wolfpack trailed by 12 in the third quarter before cutting the deficit to three to begin the fourth. Christian Cevis finished with 17 points while Ethan Stoute had 24.

Ranney 66 Southern Regional 33 | SCT Boys Quarterfinal

Elijah Perkins had 17 points and Ryan Zan added 14 to lead the Panthers to a dominant win in their Shore Conference Tournament opener. It was Ranney’s first return to action since Feb. 16 and the Panthers showed no rust racing out to a 7-0 run to start the game and an 18-8 lead after one. The second seed will host #3 Marlboro in the SCT semifinals with a spot in the title game on the line. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from Tinton Falls:


Marlboro 73 Holmdel 59 | SCT Boys Quarterfinal

Jon Spatola tied his season-high mark of 25 points in Marlboro’s opening-round win of this year’s Shore Conference Tournament championship pod. The Mustangs closed the first half on a 21-7 run and would be up by 22 points at one point in the third. Marlboro will hit the road to Tinton Falls to face second-seeded Ranney in the semifinals on Wednesday.

Camden 68 St. Augustine 54 | Boys

The Panthers (11-0) continue to prove that they are the best basketball team in New Jersey with a convincing road win over the Hermits (11-2). DJ Wagner scored a game-high 23 points to lead The High to its 36th straight win dating back to last season. Matt Delaney scored a team-high 17 points in the loss.
