The NJSIAA playoffs got underway on Monday, and JSZ has highlights from a pair of exciting opening round games!

Millville 66 Williamstown 63 (OT) | Boys | Group 4 South

Jabbar Barriento had a birthday to remember for the Bolts. He hit a clutch three-pointer with two seconds left to force overtime, and finished with a game-high 29 points. Seventh-seeded Millville (19-6) overcame a 15-point deficit in the fourth quarter to survive and advance. Landon Eaton scored a team-high 21 points for the 10th-seeded Braves (11-13). The Bolts will face second-seeded Lenape in the Group 4 South quarterfinals on Wednesday.

South Brunswick 61 Middletown South 47 | Boys | Group 4 Central

South Brunswick (18-8) defeated Middletown South (10-15) 61-47 to advance to the quarterfinal round of the Central Jersey, Group 4 playoffs. The Vikings with an early lead trailed 25-21 at halftime and did not tie the game until a minute remaining in the third quarter. South Brunswick would extend their lead to double digits in the fourth, Yathin Vemula led all scorers with 20 points. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:
