Manasquan 68 Montclair Immaculate 65 | Boys
Ben Roy scored 26 points including the game-tying floater and three game-winning free throws in a top 10 showdown that ended in controversy. Roy hit a floater in the paint to tie the game at 65 with under 20 seconds to go. Montclair Immaculate had two chances to take the lead but Manasquan came up with a pair of defensive stops getting the ball with 1.6 seconds left. With overtime on the horizon, Montclair Immaculate was called for a hold away from the ball on the inbounds followed by a bench technical. Roy hit three of four free throws to seal the victory for 3-0 Manasquan. Zakai Zeigler had 24 points to lead the Lions. JSZ’s Rich Chrampanis has the highlights from an outstanding top 10 showdown:
Ewing 58 Notre Dame 47 | Boys
Ewing (3-4) defeated Notre Dame (1-4) to pick up back-to-back wins. The Blue Devils never surrendered the lead from the opening tip, going ahead by as many as 13 in the third quarter. Darnelle Forrest, Jeff Jenkins and Tyreek Rollins combined for 32 points.

Gloucester 53 Paulsboro 50 | Boys
The Lions edged the Red Raiders to get revenge for their only loss of the season so far. Steven Light scored a game-high 17 points, while Aydan Hagan added 14 points in the victory for Gloucester (5-1). Camerin Kidd scored a team-high 15 points for Paulsboro (1-5) in the loss.

St. John Vianney 63 Paul VI 53 | Girls
Their second tough test of the season came just two days after the first, as the Lancers once again welcomed in a highly-ranked opponent in the Garden State. This time it was the Eagles of Paul VI that fell to the juggernaut of St. John Vianney. The Eagles pushed the Lancers to the brink, but once again it was the experience of the Lancers that helped them prevail in the fourth quarter. Proving their backcourt dominance, the combination of Madison St. Rose and Katie Hill combined for 48 points, 19 rebounds and four steals.
