Cup season is in full swing and we kick off a massively busy week with four conference championship games! We’ll have highlights and interviews from the Halvorsen Cup, Mennen Cup, McMullen Cup and Kelly Cup as Mennen Arena and Codey Arena host the action!

Morristown-Beard 5 Chatham 2 | Mennen Cup Final

For the 16th time in school history, the Mennen Cup is coming back to Morristown-Beard.  Five different Crimson players scored in the victory.  Morristown-Beard jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period before Chatham answered back with two goals to make it 3-2.  Mo-Beard sophomore Bryce Salvador’s backhand late in the second period proved to be a crucial insurance goal with John Gonnella sealing the win with an empty netter in the third period.

Hoboken 8 Bayonne 0 | McMullen Cup Final

Aiden Stamm exploded for five goals in a masterful performance to give the Red Wings their first-ever McMullen Cup title. Stamm scored twice inside the first 90 seconds and then closed out the day with a natural hat trick for Hoboken (13-7-2). The Bees had no answers for the Red Wings, but Bayonne (10-9) did see a major milestone come to fruition – senior goalie Sydney Fogu made her 3,000th career save in the loss.

Scotch Plains-Fanwood 4 Montclair Kimberley Academy 1 | Kelly Cup Final

The Raiders rallied to score four unanswered goals in a wild third period to claim the first-ever Kelly Cup championship in program history. Anthony Lorenzetti scored the game-tying goal and game-winning goal in a 10-second span to power Scotch Plains-Fanwood (17-4-3) in a hard-fought win. Lorenzetti’s second goal was initially waved off by a referee but was later confirmed as a goal after over a minute of deliberation. Lorenzetti and Charles Sacchetti scored shorthanded goals inside the final 75 seconds of regulation to secure the win. Montclair Kimberley Academy (10-4-3) got their lone goal from Ethan Kilcullen in the second period.
