The Red Bank Catholic girls outlast Rutgers Prep in a Top-5 showdown at the Kevin Williams Christmas Classic, while reigning Group 1 Champions Thrive Charter win the ESCIT Tournament Final against Ewing. Down by double-digits midway through the third, Indiana commit Addy Nyemchek sparked a 17-0 run from the Caseys as they surged past the Argonauts in a battle between two of New Jersey’s best. Nyemchek had eleven in the third on her way to a game-high 25 points in the victory. Army commit Daniela Maletsky and Rhode Island commit each added eight points for top-ranked Red Bank Catholic (5-0). NYU commit Ava Frith racked up a team-high 14 points, while Hailey Benbow chipped in with twelve points for fourth-ranked Rutgers Prep (5-1).

Thrive Charter 61 Ewing 54 | Boys | ESCIT Tournament Final

The reigning Group 1 State Champions added more gold to their collection. Four Titans scored in double figures against Ewing (5-1), and a 23-point fourth quarter propelled Thrive Charter (5-1) to hoist the ESCIT Tournament Trophy. Tyler Hammond led the way with 18 points, while Marjon Skillman contributed 10 points and threw down a highlight-reel slam in the early minutes of the game.
