Rumson-Fair Haven 6 Wall 5 (OT)
Brody Riva took a feed from Jacen Doumas to score :25 into overtime to give Rumson-Fair Haven a come from behind victory. Wall had a 5-3 lead early in the third period before a Matt Iorio goal made it 5-4. Cole Hagan’s slap shot from close range tied the game 5-5 with just 1:11 left in regulation. James Byrnes had a hat trick for Wall including two goals in the span of 10 seconds. RFH improves to 2-2 on the season while Wall drops to 2-3.

Bayonne 7 Hoboken 2
Alex Fiermonte dominated in the inaugural game of the new Battle for the Hudson Cup. The junior accounted for a game-high three goals to power Bayonne (3-0) in a win. Sydney Fogu made 34 saves in the win. Gage Angel scored a shorthanded goal for Hoboken (3-2) in the loss. The Battle for the Hudson Cup is a best-of-three series which the Bees now lead 1-0.

Gloucester Catholic 6 Hun 3
Rich Rutkis erupted for a five-point afternoon to power the Rams past the Raiders in their home-opener for their second-straight victory. Rutkis finished with two goals and three assists in the victory. Declan Morris, Chad Niederman, Zach Goins, and Nar Biekan added goals for Gloucester Catholic (2-3). Jake Beck collected two goals and an assist, while Justin Bibeau scored a goal in the loss for The Hun School (1-5-1).
