The Cape-Atlantic League Tournament championship was up for grabs in boys and girls soccer on Monday. Enjoy the highlights from two great matches!


St. Augustine 3 Hammonton 1 | Boys | Cape-Atlantic League Tournament Final

Trailing 1-0 at halftime, the fifth-seeded Hermits surged in the final 20 minutes with three unanswered goals to take down the third-seeded Blue Devils. Alex Clark got the rally started, netting the game-tying and go-ahead goals. The sophomore now has a team-leading ten goals this season. Christian Torpey scored in the final minute of regulation to ice the game for St. Augustine (11-5-3). Carter Bailey scored the lone goal in the loss for Hammonton (11-6-3).

Ocean City 2 Mainland 1 (OT) | Girls | Cape-Atlantic League Tournament Final

The Red Raiders trailed 1-0 at halftime, but Naomi Nnewehi equalized for OC early in the second half. Then in overtime, Coryn McDonnell scored the golden goal off a corner kick to give the Raiders (13-0-2) their second straight CAL championship. Emily Paytas scored the lone goal for the Mustangs (10-4-1) in the loss.
