A pair of Cape Atlantic League championship games highlight the action as we kick off a new week!
Oakcrest 2 St. Augustine 1 (OT) – Boys CAL Final
Gabe Paz scored the golden goal just a few minutes into overtime to lift the Falcons over the Hermits in the Cape Atlantic League title game. Paz also scored a goal in the first half, before Michael Balestriere broke through for St. Augustine with just two minutes remaining in regulation. Oakcrest keeper Ryan Liberty was outstanding, making 12 saves in the victory.

Ocean City 2 Millville 0 – Girls CAL Final
Last season the Red Raiders fell short in the Cape-Atlantic League title game. This year, it was redemption for the Red Raiders as they over-powered the Thunderbolts for the Cape-Atlantic League championship. Seniors Carly Reighard and Delaney Lappin each scored a goal for Ocean City. Senior Faith Slimmer finished the day with two assists.

Notre Dame 2 Princeton 0 – Boys
With the Mercer County Tournament kicking off Tuesday, two of its heavily favored teams gave us a preview of a possible final. Following a scoreless first half Chris O’Neil would find net to get Notre Dame on the board at 60’. Guiliano Silva would add another goal at the 74’ mark to give the Irish their eighth straight win.
