Delbarton 3 Gloucester Catholic 1

The Green Wave led 2-0 early in the second period, and then held off the Rams down the stretch to stay undefeated. Duncan Steward scored two goals for Delbarton (5-0), including an empty-netter as time expired. Jack Fidacaro also scored in the win, while Jason Cai was outstanding between the pipes. TJ Pisano scored the only goal of the game for GC (3-3-1) in the loss.

Hillsborough 5 Rumson-Fair Haven 4

Nate Bienstock scored back-to-back goals in the third period with the game-winner coming with just 1:43 left to give the Raiders (7-2) an impressive road win. After falling behind 1-0, Hillsborough scored three straight goals in the first to take a 3-1 lead. RFH clawed its way back and tied the game on Andrew Croddick’s second goal of the game early in the third period followed by Spencer Hobson’s go-ahead tally with seven minutes left. But Bienstock was able to cash in off a Jeremy Wachnachter pass to tie it and win it after Wachnacter clanged the left post with a snipe that allowed Bienstock to pounce on the rebound.
