Delsea’s Zach Maxwell plated two runs on a safety squeeze to spark a three-run eighth inning as Tri-Cape booked a return trip to the Carpenter Cup final for the fourth-straight year. Gloucester Catholic’s Guy Lynam and Noah Danza each finished with a RBI in the victory. Millville’s Sergio Droz tossed three no-hit innings for Tri-Cape, which seeks its third Carpenter Cup title in the last four years. Campbell McCormack and James Quici drove in runs in the loss for Delaware County.

Inter-Ac/Independents 5 Jersey Shore 4 | 2024 Phillies Carpenter Cup Semifinal
The Inter-ac/Independents came away with their very first win in the semi-finals of 2024 Carpenter Cup after a barrage of scoring at the top of the 9th inning. A 4 run inning resulted in a 5-4 win over the reigning champions, the Jersey Shore. Tommy Markey’s RBI triple to the wall sends in a run in the 9th inning. Inter-Ac didn’t stop there as Lucas Albert’s safety squeeze goes for a bunt single and Markey scores the tying run with runners on first and second with just one out. Jimmy Amplo’s 2-run single scores the go-ahead runs and Inter-ac comes from behind with a 5-3 lead. Inter-Ac/Independents hold their ground on defense and come away with the 5-4 win to head to their first ever Carpenter Cup Final.
