#9 Columbia 0 (5) #8 Glen Ridge 0 (3) – Essex County Boys Quarterfinals
After 100 minutes of scoreless soccer, Columbia came out on top 5-3 with PKs against Glen Ridge. Senior keeper Sam Maidenberg was the star in this one. Not only did he make a big-time save during penalty kicks, but he actually scored one himself to give his team the edge. Full highlights of this exciting Essex County matchup now:
#5 West Windsor-Plainsboro South 2 #12 Hun 0 – Mercer County Boys First Round
Connor Staples and Ryan Grund found the net and James Mattson made eight saves to get WWPS into the quarterfinals and a matchup with fourth seed Notre Dame. JSZ has the highlights from the battle of the Raiders:

#5 Toms River North 2 vs. #4 Shore 0 – Shore Conference Girls Quarterfinals
Marisa Tava and Alexa Peto both scored for the second consecutive game to give Toms River North a Shore Conference Tournament quarterfinal round win over the Shore Blue Devils. This was a rematch from last year’s SCT quarterfinals with the Mariners winning that one, 3-1. JSZ’s Jay Cook has the highlights from a commanding win in West Long Branch.
