Westwood 21 Pascack Valley 7 | Super Football Conference

The Cardinals rattled off 21 unanswered points in the second half to blow past the Panthers in a fantastic matchup of Bergen County public school programs. Sophomore QB Bruno Vega threw the game-tying touchdown pass and took off for the go-ahead touchdown run to put Westwood (2-0) in front for good. Boston College commit Steve Klein iced the game late in the fourth quarter with a rushing touchdown of his own. Michigan State commit Adam Shaw collected the only touchdown for Pascack Valley (1-1) in a hard-fought game.

St. Augustine 26 Paul VI 0 | West Jersey Football League

The Hermits showed they had plenty of gas in the tank after a Week 0 road trip to Ohio with another convincing win on the road against the Eagles. Roman Coney erupted for 179 yards and three touchdowns to power a bruising ground attack in the victory. Jayden Robinson added a touchdown for St. Augustine (2-0). Paul VI (1-1) will look to get back on track next week against Gloucester.

Rumson-Fair Haven 35 Brick Memorial 7 | Shore Conference

Ryder Izzo had four fumble recoveries and a defensive touchdown with teammate Finn Carlston scoring on a 79 yard pick six as part of five RFH turnovers to give the Bulldogs (2-0) a convincing road win.  Casey Moore had two touchdown passes and Brady Williams had a short touchdown run.  Nazeer Matthews 58-yard TD in the third quarter was Brick Memorial’s (1-1) lone score.

Holmdel 48 Donovan Catholic 35 | Shore Conference

Jack Cannon showed why he’s one of New Jersey’s top quarterbacks with a sensational performance in Toms River.  Cannon had 348 yards of combined offense and five touchdowns.  He had 187 yards on the ground with three TD’s along with 161 pass yards and two TD passes.  The Dartmouth commit helped the Hornets race out to a 28-0 lead capped off by a fake field goal TD pass from Cannon to Ryan Pescatore covering 24 yards.  Donovan Catholic QB Kahden Davis had two TD passes and a TD run but left the game due to injury when he scored his third touchdown of the game.

Hopewell Valley 59 Robbinsville 21 | West Jersey Football League

Ethan Valenza delivered one of the top performances we’ll see in the 2025 football season. In his first game of the year, the junior running back rushed 18 times for a staggering 308 yards and four touchdowns against Robbinsville (1-1). All four of Valenza’s scores came from 35+ yards out (38, 82, 58, 57) in an unforgettable night. Quarterback Grayson Vlasac added a 30-yard strike to Jude Berman, who also shined with a 95-yard kick return touchdown. Hopewell Valley (1-1) now looks ahead to a big division matchup next week against rival Notre Dame
