Week Four brings us heated rivalries and some big numbers under the Friday Night Lights. Follow along all evening long as we bring you highlights from a jam-packed Friday slate of games. 


Bergen Catholic 38 Don Bosco Prep 15 | Super Football Conference

The Crusaders put together an explosive first quarter which ultimately helped propel them to a win against their longtime rival. Bergen Catholic (4-1) was hot from the start and raced out to a 21-0 lead inside the first 12 minutes of action. Dominic Campanile threw touchdown passes to Quincy Porter and Dante Kain, while Mujahid Russell scored on the ground in the opening quarter. Campanile ultimately tossed a third touchdown pass, which went to Luca Cuttita for the score. Don Bosco (1-4) is in the midst of their worst start to a season in over three decades.

Red Bank Catholic 34 Rumson-Fair Haven 6 | Shore Conference

Luke Wassef had two fourth quarter TD runs and Davin Brewton sealed the victory with a 28-yard pick six to give the Caseys a third straight dominant performance against a Shore Conference foe.  Emanuel Ross had two TD catches from Frankie Williams to give RBC a 14-0 lead.  Owen O’Toole’s 5-yard TD pass to Nick Rigby with :05 left in the half made it a 14-6 game.  The Caseys put the game away with three touchdowns over the final 7:30 of the game.

Woodbridge 42 Colonia 7 | Big Central Conference

Woodbridge (3-2) defeated crosstown rival Colonia (2-3) 42-7. The Barrons quickly jumped out to a 28-7 lead at halftime following two touchdowns from senior Jahmir Beal. Quarterback Derek Anderson also had a pair of scores for Woodbridge in the victory.

Winslow Twp. 27 Shawnee 14 | West Jersey Football League

Deante Ruffin rushed for two touchdowns and added another through the air as the Eagles picked up their fourth-straight win. Kameron Brown scored on a nine-yard touchdown run in the win for Winslow Twp. (4-1). Joe Papa threw for a pair of touchdowns in the loss for Shawnee (3-2).

Holmdel 23 Manasquan 0 | Shore Conference

Holmdel (4-0) remains undefeated on the year following a 23-0 win over rival Manasquan (2-2). The Hornets led 9-0 at halftime following a field goal from Connor Mendini and a pick six return on defense from senior Gary Collyer. Anthony Setteducate would add a pair of touchdowns in the second half.

Colts Neck 42 Red Bank Regional 7 | Shore Conference

Ethan Mathieu and Chris Scully each had two touchdowns and QB Dom Beninato had a TD run and TD pass to help the Cougars to a second straight win.  Mathieu caught a 35-yard pass from Beninato and rambled 56 yards on a reverse to give the Cougars a 28-7 halftime lead.

Marlboro 21 Lacey 7 | Shore Conference

Matt Cassidy had two third quarter touchdown runs and Sam Hirsch caught a 35-yard touchdown pass to give the Mustangs 21 unanswered points and a 4-0 mark in 2023.  Lacey took a 7-0 halftime lead thanks to a Joey Preston 75-yard touchdown run in the first quarter.  Cassidy cashed in from 15 and 6 yards out and the Mustangs defense buckled down.  Marlboro has given up just 21 points over the first four games of the season.
