Steinert 3 Randolph 2 | Group 3 State Final
The Spartans orchestrated a rally of epic proportions Friday as they stormed in to win their third-straight state title, this time with their backs against the wall. Steinert (22-4) scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning – highlighted by Addison Hassan’s walk-off single – to finish an incredible season.

Hunterdon Central 4 Watchung Hills 1 | Group 4 State Final
How often do teams in the same conference, let alone the same division, meet for a state championship? It’s remarkably rare, but that was the situation for these two Skyland Conference-Delaware Division foes. Boston College commit Emily Van Cleef was perfect through five innings and led Hunterdon Central (25-3) to its first state title in 14 years. Van Cleef struck out 11 batters and gave up one earned run on two hits and two walks in the victory. Cambria Tucker’s two-run single gave the Red Devils a lead in the middle innings that they’d hold for the remainder of the game.
