Enjoy!

No. 17 Hamilton West 2 No. 12 Notre Dame 0

No. 17 Hamilton West shocked fans in Mercer County as they upset No. 12 Notre Dame to hand them their first loss in 2019. It was a tight game from start to finish, the only two runs came in the bottom of the fourth when West scored on a wild pitch and sacrifice fly. While there wasn’t a lot of offense the Hornets relied on pitching to lift them up. Nate Diaz got the start and went seven innings allowing five hits and racked up five strikeouts. After Notre Dame put runners at third and second in the bottom of the seventh Jason Diaz came in for the final three outs and did not disappoint as his clutch pitching would lead them to victory. JSZ’s Nery Rodriguez has the highlights:

The Lions pulled away for good in the fifth inning as Ryan West drove in two more runs and Eli Atiya added an RBI double. It was the 200th career win for Lions head coach Dan McMaster. Hun 2 Seton Hall Prep 0

This was the definition of a pitchers duel. Seton Hall Prep and Hun both sent quality arms to the mound inning in and inning out, but it was the Raiders who eventually broke through thanks to some timely base running. Jack Erbeck threw a complete game shutout on 101 pitches and Carson Applegate stole two bases and scored the only runs of the contest. JSZ’s Jay Cook has the highlights from West Orange:
