There’s only a few days left of the regular season. Some teams in New Jersey have their playoff spots guaranteed, others are fighting for one final chance. JSZ brings you highlights from Flemington and Middletown on a busy Friday night.
Hillsborough 5 Manalapan 1
Let’s just put it this way — Hillsborough goalie Brendan Seramba stole the show. Seramba, a senior backup goalie for the Raiders, played in the first hockey game of his entire life Friday night and made 31 saves on 32 shots while helping propel Hillsborough to a 5-1 win on Senior Night. That’s the beauty of high school athletics.

Rumson-Fair Haven 1 Marlboro 1
Anthony Galante buried a rebound with 3:31 left in the third period to clinch a spot in the state playoffs for Marlboro. Rumson-Fair Haven took a 1-0 lead in the second period on a Rowan Goldin goal following his own rebound. Marlboro with a 5-5-3 mark clinches a spot in the state playoffs.
