New Providence 38 Dayton 0
Pioneers running back Charlie Barth continued his electric play in the 2021 season. Barth handled 15 carries for 189 yards and three touchdown runs to pace New Providence (4-1) to a win. Barth, one of the Big Central Conference’s top players, already has 12 touchdowns on the season. The Pioneers’ defensive line came up with a pair of interceptions in the shutout defensive effort. Dayton (2-3) looks to rebound next week to Belvidere.

Neptune 38 Freehold Township 25
Davionne Pearson threw three touchdown passes to Mateo Andrews in the second quarter as Neptune held off a second-half comeback attempt from the Patriots to secure their first win of the season. Andrews had three TD grabs which totaled 165 yards and gave the Scarlet Fliers a 24-14 lead at the half. Freehold Township stormed back from 32-14 down to get within seven before Nasir Evans ended the comeback attempt with a 59-yard pick-six.
