Red Bank Catholic 35 Toms River North 28 (OT) | Shore Conference

Frankie Williams 25-yard TD pass to Emanuel Ross in overtime was the difference in an incredible game on a rainy Friday night.  JSZ Zoneman winner Micah Ford left the game shortly after a 76-yard TD run in the first quarter with a knee injury.  TRN backup QB TJ Valerio threw two TD passes and had a TD run in the second half to give the Mariners a 28-21 lead. But RBC marched 86 yards to force overtime on a Matt Lonczak 1-yard TD run with just :02 left.  Ross finished the game with 6 catches for 184 yards and 3 TD’s with Williams throwing a total of four TD’s.

Notre Dame 35 Hopewell Valley 34 | West Jersey Football League

Notre Dame (9-0) captured the WJFL Capitol Division Title following a close 35-34 victory over Hopewell Valley (6-2). Hopewell led the back and forth contest for all but the final minute and fifty four seconds of regulation when Rutgers commit AJ Surace hit Michael Quinn for a 48 yard touchdown to tie the game at 34-34, the extra point from Kevin Scarborough put them ahead by one. Then an interception from Cameron Bailey on the ensuing drive sealed the game for Notre Dame. Rutgers commit Gabe Winowich rushed for 121 yards on 14 attempts, fellow future Scarlet Knight, AJ Surace finished with 150 passing yards, three passing touchdowns, two rushing scores and 65 yards on the ground as well.

Rutherford 26 Park Ridge 7 | NJIC Championship

The Bulldogs leaned on a bruising ground attack and hard-nosed defense to capture a record third-consecutive conference championship. Senior RB Cole Goumas logged a game-high 171 rushing yards and three touchdown runs in the win for Rutherford (8-0). The Bulldogs started freshman QB Myles Balchan in lieu of Chris Gioia (non-throwing shoulder injury) and the moment was not too big for the young signal caller. A five-yard touchdown pass from Cole Hughes to Jacob Shannon was the only score of the day for Park Ridge (6-2).

Pleasantville 21 Middle Twp. 14 | West Jersey Football League

The Greyhounds trailed 14-0 at halftime, but battled back in the second half to capture the WJFL Patriot Division Title. Ahmad Jones threw TD passes to Khalil Witherspoon and Dasan Brown in the victory. Dwayne Carter had a key interception in the end zone, before Rashad Floyd capped the comeback with a TD run in the fourth quarter for Pleasantville (7-1). Mark Oliver and Jeremiah Jones scored touchdowns for the Panthers (7-2) in the loss.

Millville 41 Cherokee 17 | West Jersey Football League

The Thunderbolts found themselves in a back and forth battle but surged late to put away the Chiefs for their seventh-straight win. Lotzeir Brooks led the charge for the Thunderbolts with an 80-yard receiving touchdown then iced the game with an incredible 82-yard pick-six. Kyon Conyers also had a pick-six in the win for Millville (7-1), which clinched the WJFL American Division title. Ryan Bender threw for a pair of touchdowns in the loss for Cherokee (6-2).
