The Union County title game goes to overtime in one of the wildest games of the year and the Passaic County championship brings us a last minute game-winner! Westfield 6 Governor Livingston 5 (OT) | Union County Championship
Aidan Wilson’s third goal of the game 2:22 into overtime trickled over the goal line to give the Blue Devils back to back Union County titles. Governor Livingston/New Providence was in the finals for a fourth straight year seeking their first ever County championship and had a 3-1 lead at the end of one period and a 4-2 advantage at the end of two. But Westfield scored three goals early in the third period to take the lead. Jackson Chicola tied the game and Andrew Lisnock’s second of the game just 21 seconds later gave Westfield a 5-4 lead. Jacob Wachtel scored his third goal of the game for Governor Livingston to tie the game and force overtime.

Passaic Tech 3 Wayne 2 | Passiac County Tournament Championship
The Bulldogs battled to win their third-straight county championship as their stranglehold on Passaic County continues level more. Max Bernice nailed the eventual game-winning shot for Passaic Tech (12-3-2) with just 49 seconds left in regulation to seal the deal. Wayne (8-5-1) hockey played a tough game in a losing effort – both of their goals came in the first period.
