Gabe Driscoll hit a high chopping ground ball in the 5th inning to break a 0-0 tie and drive in the first run for Toms River South, followed by Jordan Erbe scoring on a past ball to give the Indians a 2-0 lead. RHP Nico Gonnella pitched 6.1 Innnings and recorded 5 K’s in the win, as South moves to 6-5 on the season with a crucial divisional victory over Jackson Memorial. Hunterdon Central 3 North Hunterdon 2 – Alex Degen 14 Strikeouts
In the first inning, North’s Grant Sible robs a homer to stop the Red Devils from an early lead. Central would eventually jump out 3-0 in the top of the sixth, but North continued to battle. Sible picks up two ribbies, but the Lions could not push a third and Central would take the 3-2 win. Alex Degen with another outstanding game, he pitched six complete innings with 14 strikeouts for his third win of the season. Check out highlights now:
