Wall catcher Dan Wondrack has committed to play Division I baseball for the College of Charleston
Wall catcher Dan Wondrack has given a verbal commitment to play Division I baseball at the College of Charleston. Wondrack, who still has his senior season to play at Wall, hit .424 in his junior campaign. He was a catcher on the Jersey Shore All-Star team that won the 16-team Carpenter Cup tournament hosted by the Philadelphia Phillies.
Monte Lee’s Cougars are a small school Division I college baseball power. The C of C won the Colonial Athletic Association Tournament then stunned the college baseball world by winning the Gainesville Regional in the NCAA Tournament. The #4 seed topped the host Florida Gators and Long Beach State to reach college baseball’s sweet 16. The Cougars lost to Texas Tech 1-0 in both games of the NCAA Super Regional to finish the year with a 44-19 record.
